These Terms of Use govern your use of https://www.edg.tech (the "Site"), operated by EDG.tech LLC, a Maryland limited liability company ("EDG.tech," "we," "us"). By using the Site you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

Scope. These terms cover the public website only. Managed IT, cybersecurity, web development, and other services we provide to clients are governed by separate written service agreements. The client portal at client.edg.tech has its own terms of service, which govern its use.

Use of the Site

You may use the Site for lawful purposes related to learning about and engaging our services. You agree not to interfere with the Site's operation; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or data; use automated means to scrape or harvest content or submit forms; or use our forms or chat to transmit malicious code, spam, or unlawful content. We may suspend or block access to the Site for conduct that violates these terms.

Informational content — not advice

Content on the Site — including blog posts, guides, checklists, and answers provided by our website assistant (Rosie) — is provided for general informational purposes. It is not a substitute for professional advice tailored to your environment, and no client relationship is formed by reading the Site or chatting with Rosie. Cybersecurity involves rapidly changing threats; content that was accurate when published may become outdated.

Pricing

Pricing shown on the Site (including per-user package pricing and indicative ranges) is provided for transparency and planning. Final pricing for any engagement is set in a written agreement or quote and may vary with your environment, user count, and requirements.

Rosie (AI assistant)

Rosie is an AI system and may occasionally produce incomplete or inaccurate responses. Information you submit through Rosie is handled per our Privacy Policy. For anything urgent or security-critical, call us at (301) 960-8281 rather than relying on chat.

Intellectual property

The Site and its content — text, graphics, logos, design, and code — are owned by EDG.tech LLC or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. "EDG.tech" and our logo are our trademarks. You may view and share links to Site content; you may not republish substantial portions or use our marks without written permission. Client testimonials appear with their authors' permission.

Third-party sites

The Site links to third-party websites and services (including social media and our scheduling and chat providers). We're not responsible for their content or practices; links aren't endorsements.

Disclaimer

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components — though as a security company, we work hard to keep it that way.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EDG.tech's total liability arising from your use of the Site is limited to $100 USD. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost profits or business interruption — arising from Site use. This limitation applies to Site use only; liability in client engagements is addressed in the applicable service agreement. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify EDG.tech against claims arising from your violation of these terms or misuse of the Site.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any litigation shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maryland.

U.S. legal compliance

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government restricted-party list.

Severability; waiver

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remainder stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always posted here with its effective date. Material changes will be noted on this page at least 30 days before taking effect where practicable. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
