What the assessment checks.
The assessment covers the four places small businesses are actually breached. Identities: whether multi-factor authentication is enforced for every user, how admin rights are assigned, what happens when someone leaves, and whether any of your credentials are already exposed. Endpoints: what protection each workstation and server runs, whether it is monitored by a person, and how far behind patches are. Email: whether impersonation and look-alike domains are caught, whether forwarding rules have been planted, and how your domain is configured against spoofing. Backups: where they are, whether ransomware on the network could reach them, and when a restore was last tested. Each finding is rated by how likely it is to be used against you and how much it would cost if it were, and the report says in plain English what to fix first. It is the same checklist cyber insurers verify at renewal, so the report doubles as preparation for the questionnaire.

Yes — the assessment and the report are free, no strings. It's how we start most client relationships: you see exactly where you stand, we show you how we work.
What do you need from us?
About 30 minutes with whoever knows your setup best, and read-only access where you're comfortable granting it. No disruption to your team, no software installed without your approval.
Will you try to sell us something?
You'll get a prioritized fix list and — only if you ask — a real quote. No pressure, no scare tactics. Many businesses use the report to fix things themselves; some become clients. Both outcomes are fine.
Who should request the assessment?
Any Maryland or Washington, DC small business that has not had an outside look at its security in the last year, is renewing cyber insurance, has received a customer security questionnaire, or has a new office or a new provider. Owners, office managers, and practice administrators are the usual requesters; we do not need a technical contact to start.
What happens after the report?
